Betws-Y-Coed Community Council
Due to coronavirus the Swallow Falls is closed.
Welcome to Betws-Y-Coed Community Council website. We hope that you find the site useful and informative.
The Council represents the community of Betws-Y-Coed and also the interests of the many thousands of visitors who enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the locality in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.
The council also manages several local amenities including Swallow Falls, The Memorial Hall, and Cae Llan.
There are eleven members of the Community Council who meet on the 2nd Monday of each month, with the exception of August when no meeting is held.
During these difficult times the Community Council is keen to ensure that those members of our community who may need assistance are identified and an appropriate response is provided.
If you need assistance or know of anyone within the community who does, please contact Caerwyn Roberts Clerk, or the Chairman Gareth Wynne with the details of the person and the assistance required.
Regulation 15(1) of the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 (as amended) requires that Responsible Financial Officer of Betws-y-Coed Community Council sign and date the statement of accounts, and certify that it properly presents Betws-y-Coed CC receipts and presents fairly the financial position of Betws-y-Coed CC at the end of the year and the Council’s income and expenditure for the year. The Regulations required that this be completed by 30 June 2020.
The Responsible Financial Officer has not signed and certified the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2020. [Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Responsible Financial Officer has been unable to prepare the accounts]. The statement of accounts will be prepared and the Responsible Financial Officer will sign and certify the statement of accounts when the immediate pressures of the COVID-19 outbreak have subsided.
